The County Of Carmarthenshire (Public Footpaths 57/29 & 57/26 (Part), Baglam Road, Trimsaran) Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along that length of Footpath Number 57/29 from its junction with the Unclassified Road known as Baglam Road, Trimsaran, for its entire length in a north-easterly direction, and also part of Footpath Number 57/26 from its junction with Footpath Number 57/29 for a distance of 477 metres in a south-easterly direction.
The Alternative Route for north-east bound traffic will be to proceed generally south on Footpath Number 57/35, from its junction with the Unclassified Road known as Baglam Road, to its junction with Footpath Number 57/34. Turn left and proceed along Footpath Number 57/34 in a general north-easterly direction on to Heol Waunyclun proceeding to its junction with Maes Y Ffynnon. Turn left on to Maes Y Ffynnon and left again to re-join Heol Waunyclun. Continue northerly along Waun Y Clun for a distance of approximately 163 metres turning left immediately after the property known as Arosfa on to Footpath Number 57/27. Continue along Footpath Number 57/27 in a general north-west then south-westerly direction, to return to a point north-east of the closure, the crossroads with Footpath Number 57/26 and 57/29.
The Order will continue in force for a period of 6 months to maintain pedestrian safety during the pylon replacement works.
It is intended that the works will commence on the 17th of February 2025, for a period of six months.
Where appropriate, temporary Road Traffic Regulation Orders may continue in force for a period not exceeding six months unless the Welsh Government give a direction under Section 15(5) of the 1984 Act to extend the duration of the closure.
