The County Of Carmarthenshire (Public Footpath 44/71 Old Bethel Chapel, Glanamman) (Temporary Prohibition Of Pedestrian Traffic) Order 2026
Reference: SLB/HTRW-841
NOTICE is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council on the 23rd day of November Two Thousand and Twenty Three made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian traffic from proceeding along that length of Footpath 44/71 specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
The closure is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public caused by an unstable structure.
The Order came into force on the Twenty-fourth day of November Two Thousand and Twenty Three and was due to expire after a period of six months, but the likelyhood of danger to the public remains on the length of Footpath 44/71 therefore the Cabinet Secretary for North Wales and Transport, one of the Welsh Ministers, has pursuant under Section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991) consented to extend the closure by a further period of 6 months. The continuation of the Order, by the said direction, will mean that the Temporary Closure Order will continue in force until, and including the 23rd November 2026 or until there is no longer a likelyhood of danger to the public.
