The County Of Carmarthenshire (A48 Trunk Road, Carmarthen To Cross Hands) (Prohibition Of U-Turn) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that Carmarthenshire County Council, on behalf of the Welsh Ministers, proposes to make an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to 2(3), 4 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The effect of the proposed Order would be that no person shall cause any vehicle to make a ‘U’-turn manoeuvre in the lengths of road and in the direction specified in the Schedule to this Notice, for any purpose and at any time.
Full details of the proposal are contained in the draft Order which, together with plans showing the lengths of affected roads and a Statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be examined at Carmarthenshire County Council’s Customer Service HWBs located at:
- Unit 22, St Catherine's Walk, Carmarthen, SA31 1GA;
- 36 Stepney Street, Llanelli, SA15 3TR; and
- 41 Quay Street, Ammanford, SA18 3BS,
during usual office hours.

by the 18th September 2026, quoting the below file reference. All objections or other representations must specify the grounds on which they are made.
