The County Of Carmarthenshire (Footpaths 7/19 And 7/37 And Bridleway 7/16 Caio Forest, Caio) (Temporary Prohibition Of Pedestrian And Equestrian Traffic) Order 2024
Reference: ND/HTRW-853
NOTICE is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit:
1. any pedestrians from proceeding along:
i. that length of Footpath Number 7/19 extending from a point approximately 148 metres east of the property known as Y Fron, Caio in a general easterly direction for 557 metres or thereabouts before entering Caio Forest and continuing in a north easterly direction for approximately 690 metres to its junction with Footpath Number 7/37, and
ii. that length of Footpath Number 7/37 extending from a point approximately 90 metres north of the property known as Ty Cilgawad, Caio in a north easterly direction through Caio Forest to its junction with Footpath Number 7/19, and
2. any pedestrians and persons on horseback from proceeding along:
i. that length of bridleway 7/16 extending from a point 386 metres north of the northern extremity of Rock Street, Caio in a general north easterly direction through Caio Forest for approximately 1,305 at a point where it exists the forest boundary.
The Order will continue in force until tree felling works which are to be carried out at Caio Forest have been completed.
It is intended that the works will commence on the 15th day of January 2024 and will continue throughout the period of six months being the time permitted by the Order for the closure unless such time is extended by the consent of the Welsh Government pursuant to Section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
