The County Of Carmarthenshire (Great Western Crescent, Llanelli) (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that the Carmarthenshire County Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that length of the Great western Crescent, Llanelli, from a point approximately 74 metres north west of its junction with the B4304 Llanelli for a distance of 57 metres in a north westerly direction on the dates and between the times specified in the schedule below.
Pedestrian and vehicular access to individual properties will be maintained where possible throughout the duration of the closure.
The Alternative Route for south east bound traffic from a point north west of the closure will be to proceed in a north westerly direction along Great Western Crescent, to its junction with Glanmor road. At the junction, turn right and continue in a north easterly direction along Glanmor road, to Station Road roundabout. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit and continue in a south easterly direction along the B4304 Llanelli, to its junction with Great Western Crescent. At the junction, turn right and continue in a north westerly direction along Great Western Crescent, to return to a point south east of the closure.
Vice versa for north west bound diverted traffic.
The Order will continue in force until Network Rail complete AFA Footbridge installation works.
It is intended that the works will commence from 12:00 Saturday 16th March 2024, until 16:00 Sunday 19th May 2024.
Schedule
From and including 12:00 Saturday up to and including 16:00 Sunday on the following dates:
16th – 17th March, 30th – 31st March, 6th – 7th April, 13th – 14th April, 20th – 21st April, 27th – 28th April, 4th – 5th May, 11th – 12th May and the 18th – 19th May 2024.
Where appropriate temporary Road Traffic Regulation Orders may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months.
