Statement of reasons
It is to implement a 20mph speed limit along the relatively short lengths of road outlined in Schedule 1 and the relevant Map Schedule References.
The provision of new/extended 20mph speed limits will ensure a consistent speed limit within the locations listed and where amendments are deemed necessary, to ensure continuity and safe positioning of road traffic signs.
As a consequence of the proposed 20mph speed limits, ‘The County of Carmarthenshire (Imposition of 30mph Speed Limit) Order 2023’ will be revoked by the proposed Order only insofar as it relates to the length of road specified in Schedule 2.
