Carmarthenshire County Council Order Under Section 21 Of The Town Police Clauses Act 1847 For The Prevention Of Obstruction
Reference: HTTR-2076
Whereas on Saturday 27th June 2026 from 13:30 hours to 13:45 hours, High
Street, St. Clears from the Old Board School to its junction with Pentre Road;
Pentre Road, in its entirety; Station Road, from its junction with Pentre Road to its
junction with Clos Griffith Jones; and Clos Griffith Jones, will be thronged and
liable to be obstructed for 15 minutes for the parade for St. Clears Carnival.
The CARMARTHENSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL pursuant to powers conferred by Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847 DOES HEREBY ORDER AND
DIRECT that for the purpose of preventing obstruction in the said street, High
Street, Pentre Road, Station Road, and Clos Griffith Jones shall be temporarily
obstructed for 15 minutes to all vehicular traffic including pedal cycles on 27th
June 2026 from 13:30 hours to 13:45 hours, subject to emergency service vehicles
being allowed access to the street without delay in the event of an emergency.
There will be no alternative route.
