English GCSE for adults
Attend three-hour weekly sessions with a tutor and study in your own time as directed by your tutor. You can do this course over 1 year or 2 years, depending on your personal needs. Your progress will be assessed by continual formative assessment by your tutor and self-reflection. You will also sit two final GCSE exam papers.
You will need to do an initial assessment with us to make sure this is the right course for you – help and advice is part of the process. You also need to be able to attend most weeks and, in addition, do the work necessary at home – this is a very condensed course that requires commitment – especially the 1-year version.
You may need to purchase course books, your tutor will explain what you need at the first session. If you’d like to do the GCSE course, but don’t feel quite ready for it, we can help you improve your skills and confidence.
The course costs £60 for WJEC GCSE English Language (Unit 1-Oracy and Units 2 & 3 exam papers).
